Proxies in Zeroday and Minecraft in general aren’t widely used and can be extremely confusing to troubleshoot at first so I thought I’d make a guide. If you have the choice between a proxy and a VPN use a VPN. Proxies are really for those of us that can’t use a VPN for whatever reason.

  1. Get a socks 4/5/HTTP proxy. I just searched socks 5 proxy on google and got a bunch of free ones to use. Make sure to use one that says anonymous or IP hide ETC. Most sites tell you the different levels you can find on their site.
  2. Input the proxy number that’s longer (the IP). Then put a : and type the shorter numbers (the port). An IP normally looks something like this: xxx.x.xx.x and a port normally looks something like this: XXXX
  3. go to alt manager and right click the alt you want to use and press “new session”
  4. join a server, you will most likely have higher ping but you won’t be IP banned if you use a good proxy.

Tips:
Pick a non American proxy. Proxies that are from the U.S. tend to be caught by Anti-VPNs more often than non American proxies.

Test you proxy by going on a server such as mineplex that prevents you from joining if you have a proxy or VPN but won’t band your account.

Make sure you use a proxy that has fast speeds. If you don't you will be unable to play because of the lag.

The Help tag is for asking for help, removed to reduce confusion. We'll get a "guide" tag, soon.

I'll do my research on this, but I think the only types of proxies compatible are SOCKS proxies, not HTTP.

The "longer numbers" make up the IP and the "shorter numbers" are the port.

A new session isn't required, if you're logged into an alt, you're logged in.

the option for HTTP proxies is on the proxy menu so I included it. I called the IP and Port the “longer” and “shorter” numbers to reduce confusion for those who don’t have much experience with computers and need a visual sign instead of a more verbal one. For needing a new session after swapping your proxy I did multiple tests and can send you video proof that if you don’t select “ new session” on the alt you want to use you will get an invalid session error.

    1. Good to know
    2. Yeah I know, it's good to have both, though, and examples.
    3. OK I stand corrected

Foggy indeed Zeroday is right. Due to of the nature of the altening, you would forget that mojang still uses an ip based access system for sessions, so if you’re using a traditional alt, you will need a new session for every new ip. Also guide tag was added!

IntentStore Does it? I've switched VPNs after logging in before, and it seemed to work just fine. I thought it was entirely session-token based, which is why you never post session-tokens online as someone can access your account as long as you don't log in and launch Minecraft again.

Foggy VPNs and proxies function differently so that could be why.
